At your scheduled appointment time, I will arrive 10-15 minutes prior to set up with all the supplies necessary to provide you with the highest quality massage - a comfortable table, fleece pad for extra warmth, clean linens, a soft blanket, bolster/pillows for your comfort, massage cream and relaxing music. The only thing I will need from you is at least a 8’ x 10’ area to best move around my table!
-
Will it be awkward if the room is silent?
Definitely not! I love quiet time as well, it lets me focus on you and what I want to achieve in the massage.
If you find it difficult to accept the silence and relax, bring the focus to your breath and the calming music will definitely help. Calm your mind and enjoy the feeling of tension being massaged out of your body.

I treat the body as a whole because the area in pain is often connected to the root cause of it. Full body massages are great and often important, but if you’re experiencing acute neck and shoulder pain, it’s best to focus more time on those areas along with the surrounding muscles and joints connected to them. Most clients regularly request 80% focus work and 20% on everything else, so it’s a great mix of both!
-
If you are experiencing muscle pain and tension in a specific area or areas that are noticeable on a daily basis, weekly or bi-weekly massage therapy sessions are suggested until the pain has lessened. For more of a preventative maintanence plan to keep those aches and pains at bay or are just looking to relax, every 3-4 weeks is ideal. Or, I would be happy to make recommendations on the frequency of massage that would best suit your individual needs.
Facial FAQs
-
If you’ve never had a facial before and don’t know how your skin will respond, I recommend scheduling a facial 6-8 weeks before the event with a follow up treatment closer to the event date. This is a safe way to address any possible negative reaction and get the maximum results from your treatment.
Don’t have that much time? It’s OK, I can recommend a service that will still be beneficial and give you a healthy glow

It’s important to let me know about any skin and food allergies, current medications (even over-the-counter) as they can affect your skin, medical conditions (current or past), and any services you’ve had recently.
If you just had Botox, you will want to wait to get a facial. You should wait at least 48 hours after injections. Facial massage will risk moving the injectable around to the wrong area.
Work out before your facial, not after. You will want to avoid sweating. Don’t go into a hot shower right after your facial as it can reactivate any enzymes or treatment protocols that were used, it may irritate your skin.
Avoid getting waxed/threaded/tan 24 hours before your facial. These services can cause sensitivities and a possible reaction to the products used during your treatment.
If you happen to have a sunburn on your face, I recommend rescheduling your facial. The sun sensitizes the face and some of the treatment products will irritate sunburned skin.
Skip any strong at-home facial treatments the week before your appointment and any exfoliation treatments a few days prior. You’ll be receiving this during your facial and want to avoid over sensitizing the skin.
Come in for a facial before you’re due for an eyelash extension fill. The steam, hot towels, and product can affect the lash glue and your extensions.
-
Do not exfoliate for 3 to 5 days after your facial. Your skin was deeply exfoliated, so any extra and excessive exfoliation can cause sensitivities or irritation. I will provide you with a regimen to follow in-between treatments.
Avoid harsh cleansers or cleansers not recommended for your skin type after your facial. If possible, avoid makeup for 12 to 24 hours.
Do not apply any at-home chemical treatments products for 12 to 24 hours, unless advised to. Harsh chemical products may have a negative effect if they interact with products used during your facial treatment.
Limit your time in the sun. Take precautions and wear SPF, your skin was just deeply exfoliated and stimulated.
Do not touch your skin after your facial! We all know your skin will be looking amazing, but your hands are full of bacteria and dirt that can clog your pores and undo all the work I just did!

It's possible. Facials have the effect of stimulating sluggish skin into doing what it's supposed to do. Sometimes, a congested pore might need to be purged. A facial will trigger your skin to target and heal those areas.
What should not happen in your facial is an allergic reaction to skincare products, which can look like a breakout. Sometimes when you try a new product and a strong ingredient is in it, it’s possible for it to not agree with your skin, and a rash could appear. Most often it’s very mild and an antihistamine should fix the irritation. I am always conservative with new clients, I always start with a mild but effective facial and progressively ramp up the exfoliation.

A light peel can cause some redness immediately after a facial. This is often an indication that your skin will flake a few days after your treatment. It’s also normal for the skin to feel tight and shiny after exfoliating.
